Now You See Him, Now You Don't
The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day. Luke 24:46
When you are crying, your tears will cover your eyes. You will not be able to see clearly. You will not be able to find things properly with teary eyes!
After Jesus died, His disciples were so deeply saddened that they couldn’t recognize Jesus when Jesus appeared in front of them. They were not aware that Jesus was standing in front of them because their sadness had covered their eyes and heart from seeing things clearly. Jesus asked for something to eat to convince them that He was truly alive again.
Not only when crying, when we are confused, feeling scared, or panicking, we will not be able to see things clearly, our brain cannot think properly and our heart feels discouraged.
When this happens, we need help to be able to calm down. Our best help comes from Jesus. He helps us to understand how much God loves us and He is in control of everything that happens in our life as long as we surrender our life to Him.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, I need Your presence in my life to help me see things that happen through Your eyes. Amen.
