Keep Calm and Have Faith
He commands the wind and the water, and they obey Him. Luke 8:25b
One day, Jesus and His disciples got into a boat and went across a lake. Jesus was sleeping when suddenly a big storm blew across the lake. The boat started to be filled with water. While the disciples were panicking, Jesus stayed calm and commanded the wind and the waves to stop. Both the wind and waves stopped because He rules over them!
Jesus was teaching them a faith lesson through this storm. The storms in our life can come in the form of bad news, problems, or illness. Storms might come with some warning, but sometimes they just come without warning. Whenever the storms of life come and blow so hard, stay calm and have faith in Jesus.
When you have faith in Jesus, you will not be drowned in the storm of your life. During the storm, always come to Jesus and ask for His help to calm the storm. Jesus will always answer the cry of His children. He will use the storm to display His great power and grace so you and other people around you can see and witness how wonderful and great He is!
Prayer
Dear Jesus, whenever the storm comes, I will stay calm and have faith in You alone. Amen.
