A Powerful Prayer
May my prayer be set before You like incense...Psalm 141:2a
The Bible is the best life guidebook ever. It has an instruction on how to pray to God. Praying is very important for us, as important as breathing and eating. Jesus taught His people how to pray.
“Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name.”
This is to acknowledge and recognize who we are talking to when we are praying and it is to Our Father in Heaven.
“Your kingdom come.”
This means we allow God’s kingdom to take over our lives and let everything that happens to us be according to His ways.
“Give us each day our daily bread”
This is when we ask God to give us what we need, not what we want, one day at a time.
“Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. Lead us not into temptation.”
Just like God forgives our sins, we must also forgive other people who have wronged us. Let God guard our hearts and mind so we do not fall into sins.
Let’s bring this powerful prayer before God like incense every morning and night!

Dear Jesus, thank You for teaching me how to pray. I want to talk to You every day. Amen.
