Was Lost but Now Found

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10

Have you ever lost your favorite book or toy and it made you so sad and lose your appetite? You will be searching everywhere to find it because it is so precious to you. How will you feel when you finally find it? You must feel overjoyed and you will make sure that you won’t lose it again.

It is just like the woman in the Bible. Although she still had nine other coins, she didn’t want to give up on the one coin she lost. She searched every spot of her house until she found it. Just like the one coin that was so precious to her, you and I are so precious to God as well.

We are like this one lost coin. Even when we are sometimes lost, straying away from God’s ways, God never gives up on us. He keeps searching for us and calling to us. He wants to draw us back into His arms. When He finally finds us back, not only He will be rejoicing, the angels in Heaven are also rejoicing!

Prayer

Dear God, forgive me when I stray away from You without me realizing it. Hold me close in Your arms so I don't get lost. Amen.
