Small Faith Produces a Big Miracle
If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.Luke 17:6
Have you ever seen a mustard seed? A mustard seed is one of the smallest of all seeds. The seed is usually about 1 to 2 millimeters (0.039 to 0.079 inch) in diameter. Wow, so tiny.
Jesus was teaching His disciples that a small size of faith is enough to move a big mountain. It doesn't take such a big faith to experience God’s miracles because His miracles don't depend on how big our faith is. They depend on God’s grace. Even though our faith seems small, His grace is always great and sufficient.
God also wants our faith to grow, just like a mustard seed that grows into a big mustard tree. As we walk closely with God and witness the great things God does for us, our faith will constantly grow. Let us walk closely with God daily and experience His miracles in our life.
Prayer
Dear God, let my mustard seed sized faith constantly grow as I walk closely with You. Amen!
