Beyond Our Reach?
Sometimes doing the things God wants can seem completely beyond our reach. Thankfully, the Bible shows us that it does not have to be that way. Even from the Old Testament, we learn that God has always wanted to make a way for us to have a relationship with Him. Read what Moses said in Deuteronomy 30:11–20 before God fulfilled His promise to give His people a new homeland. Think about these questions as you read:
- Does God keep the things He wants us to do a secret? (Deuteronomy 30:11–13)
- According to Moses, where is God’s command? (Deuteronomy 30:14)
- God has given you a choice. What is that choice? (Deuteronomy 30:15–20)
- What are some possible consequences of our choices? (Deuteronomy 30:15–20)
Make It Personal
- The Bible shows us what God wants us to do. Are you willing to choose His ways? Why or why not?
- Are there people in your life who say it is hard to understand how God wants us to live? What would you tell them?
