It’s Hard To Do Good
Sometimes outside pressures play a role in our bad decisions. We might know the right thing to do, but fear influences us to make wrong choices. Read the story about Pilate and Jesus in Luke 23:13–25. Think about these questions as you read:
- Pilate knew the right decision to make. What was it? (Luke 23:13–16, 20, 22)
- Why did he have to choose? (Luke 23:17)
- What did the crowd want him to do? (Luke 23:18, 21, 23)
- Why did Pilate make the choice he did? (Luke 23:24-25)
Make It Personal
- Have you ever done something when you knew it was wrong? Give an example.
- What are some of the reasons why you made that bad decision?
- What is a decision you are trying to make in your life right now?
- What is your plan for making that decision?
