Raised From Death
Death did not destroy Jesus. God raised Him back to life, which is why we celebrate Easter (Resurrection Sunday). Jesus’ resurrection assures us that we, too, can have life after death. After God raised Jesus from death, He went back to heaven with the promise that He would return to earth someday. When Jesus comes again, those who belong to Him will be raised to life. Read Paul’s message to the church in Corinth in 1 Corinthians 15:12–24. Think about these questions as you read:
- Does our faith have any meaning without Jesus rising from death? (1 Corinthians 15:17)
- Who is responsible for bringing us to life after we die? (1 Corinthians 15:22)
- What is our hope as we face death? (1 Corinthians 15:23)
Make It Personal
- What is your hope as you experience the death of a family member or a friend? What about when you think about facing your own death?
- How should Jesus’ rising from death change the way you and your friends choose to live? (See 1 Corinthians 15:21–22.)
About this Plan

Choices is a series of lessons to help you study the Bible. It discusses many of the very difficult choices you must make in your life. These choices include matters of faith, sex, sin, and violence. Choices works best with a small group. You will have more fun and learn more if you do these lessons with other people. However, you can also go through this material by yourself.
