Strength for Tomorrow

DAY 1 OF 30

Day 1: Abraham – Trusting God’s Promise

Scripture: Genesis 12:1-9; Matthew 11:28-30

Key Verse: “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’” – Genesis 12:1

Abraham’s faith journey began with a simple yet daunting call: leave everything familiar and enter the unknown. He had no map, no clear destination, only a promise that God would make him into a great nation. Trusting in God’s strength, Abraham obeyed, setting an example for all who walk by faith.

Stepping out without knowing the whole plan can be terrifying. We often want details, guarantees, and security before making a move. Yet, God calls us to trust Him, not our understanding. Abraham’s faith didn’t mean he never struggled with doubt; Abraham questioned and wavered, yet always returned to God’s promises. His obedience led to the reward of becoming a father of many nations. According to Hebrews, Abraham’s blessing also extends to Christians, multiplying the blessings he received.

When we face uncertainty, God doesn’t expect us to have all the answers; He asks us to take the next step. His strength is enough to carry us through unknown seasons, just as it was for Abraham.

Prayer Focus: Ask God for the strength to trust Him in the unknown. Surrender your plans and fears to Him, knowing He is faithful to lead you.

Day 2

About this Plan

Strength for Tomorrow

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.
