Christ The KingSample

Christ The King

DAY 3 OF 9

This familiar passage of Christ judging between “the sheep and the goats” reminds us that God also rules as a judge.  Although it is faith that saves us, true faith demands action to be alive.  This passage of scripture calls upon our faith to do all in our power to help those in need, recognising that Christ is in all people.  None of us feel like we are doing enough and this is not to add to any guilty feelings you may have but to act as an encouragement to act in faith where possible.

As you pray, pray for the marginalised, the poor, the refugee, the hungry, the thirsty, prisoners, the sick.  Pray also for yourself that you would be able to respond to this scripture in an active way.

About this Plan

Christ The King

Nine days of prayer (Novena) focusing on Jesus as the Universal King. The Roman Catholic Church sets aside the last Sunday of the liturgical year as the Feast of Christ the King. This study takes each of the readings from the Mass of this feast and explores a different aspect of what the Universal Kingship of Jesus looks like and means for us in our lives.
