Christ The KingSample

Christ The King

DAY 5 OF 9

Daniel provides us with a grandiose vision of Christ’s kingship.  It is filled with glory, and speaks much of God’s dominion.  It also reminds us that we are to serve God, in his everlasting kingdom.  Most of us don’t much like the idea of being a servant, and for good reason, but what does it mean to be a servant of God?  When we give more of our heart, more of our thoughts, more of our time to the Lord not only does serving God become easier, it also become more desirable as we are filled with the appetite to please God in every way.

As you pray, pray for all people whose role/job is to serve someone else.  Pray also that you will grow in servant-heartedness towards God and towards all people.  Pray that the Church rises up in service of others and the Lord.

About this Plan

Christ The King

Nine days of prayer (Novena) focusing on Jesus as the Universal King. The Roman Catholic Church sets aside the last Sunday of the liturgical year as the Feast of Christ the King. This study takes each of the readings from the Mass of this feast and explores a different aspect of what the Universal Kingship of Jesus looks like and means for us in our lives.
