Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Abundant Joy"Sample

Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Abundant Joy"

DAY 22 OF 28

Do you know any other way to show your thankfulness besides saying it? Yes, through our actions. What we do shows our thankfulness to God and to others who have done us a favor.

For example, how do we show that we are grateful for the health that God has given to us? By taking care of ourselves with nutritious food, exercise, having enough rest, etc.

Another example. How should we be grateful to the people who have prepared our meals? By finishing up the meal joyfully.

Do you have any other examples?

Most importantly, the Word of God reminds us to do everything in the name of Jesus and give thanks to Him. Amen.

Devotion for Parents
When we are upset with our spouse or children, oftentimes we carry out our responsibilities grumpily and half-heartedly. Have you ever been in that situation?

Today, we are reminded to do everything in the name of Jesus while giving thanks to Him. What changes do you think you should make to be in line with this verse?

Devotion for Kids
Our mouth may say “thank you”, but our facial expressions say otherwise. Is that a real thanksgiving? Of course not. When we say “thank you”, we should mean it as shown in our actions andit should be received well by the other party.

Family Devotion Time
Watch the video in today's devotion together.

Discuss with your family what you learned from the short film. How does it relate to today’s devotion?
