Praying the Scripture Through LentSample

Praying the Scripture Through Lent

DAY 25 OF 40

The Church

The body of Christ is where God must get all the glory. While each member is integral to this body and plays their part, they are not the focus. The church must be made up of believers and followers of Jesus who seek to build each other up, so they are ready for Christ’s return.

Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.

Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
1 Corinthians 12:12 ESV
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
Jude 1:20-21 NLT
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,[a] 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
