Praying the Scripture Through LentSample
The Church
The church should have the Word of God as its source of direction and inspiration, while Christ Himself is the cornerstone from which it is built. Our personal theories or opinions cannot be what we build the church upon. Additionally, the only one to be placed on a pedestal in the church should be Christ Himself, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.
Ephesians 2:19-20 ESV
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,[a] but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,17 that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Ephesians 4:15 AMP
But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ.
