Praying the Scripture Through LentSample
The Church
The church that Jesus died and rose again for is enormously diverse. It will have people from every stratum of society, socio-economic background, and cultural setting. While these things could make for division, Jesus is the one unifying factor who brings everyone together. We must choose unity, again and again, to bring joy to the head of the church.
Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.
1 Corinthians 1:9 AMP
God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on], and through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:13 NLT
Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles,[a] some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
Romans 16:17 ESV
17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
