Praying the Scripture Through LentSample

Praying the Scripture Through Lent

DAY 27 OF 40

The Church

The church is no ordinary institution. The precious blood of Jesus bought it, and therefore it is powerful to overthrow the enemy’s plans towards God’s people. Therefore, it is vital for the church of Christ to be united and committed to advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth.

Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.

Acts 20:28 NLT
So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood[a]—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders
Matthew 16:18 NLT
Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’),[a] and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell[b] will not conquer it.
Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
