 Week Six - Day Four - I Belong to Something Amazing

Welcome to our ‘Born For This’ devotional. We are so excited to dig into what this means over the next few weeks, as we look at different people in the Bible who followed the plan God had for them. God has an amazing plan for you, too! He made you to be his special son or daughter, and He’s put so much precious gold inside of you to help you with His plan! We can thrive because we are born for this!

READ:

‘The First Church’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 480-483) or in Acts 2:42-47.

They prayed together. 

Prayer is so powerful! Sometimes we’re not sure about praying in front of other people, but really we shouldn’t be scared, because all it means is we’re talking to God! 

When we talk to God, we can thank Him, ask Him for help, or just talk to Him about what’s on our mind. Plus, you can talk to Him anywhere and He always hears you! 

He loves to hear our prayers, and it’s amazing when we pray together because the Bible says there is power when we agree. You know that word we usually say at the end of a prayer - amen? Amen means… ‘I agree!’ 

ASK:

Who could you pray with this week? 

Maybe you could even pray with someone over the phone! 

REMEMBER:

I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.

What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well. (Psalm 139:14)

SAY:

I Can Thrive

With you in my life.

All you create,

Is wonderful and great. 

I will recall all you have done, 

The battles that have been won. 

I am fearless in my quest,

For I am Born for This.
