Why were the requirements for becoming a priest in service for God's people so meticulous and thorough? It would seem that there would be no long lines in the employment office to enter this work. Numerous times we read the "must not's" and the "must be's" to be clean and holy. "Keep my commands and follow them," because He is the LORD (Jehovah-The Existing One) Thank God that He provided Jesus as the perfect Holy One to be our priest! Let's acknowledge Him as holy!
Prayer: LORD, you are holy. Thank you for being my High Priest and ministering to and for me. Only You are holy, pure, and righteous. Help me to be in Your service, dedicated and holy. Blessed be your holy name now and forever! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
