How To Survive THRIVE - Financially

Day 3: Work

God is a worker God. In the beginning, He created everything from nothing. For six days He is busy with water, land, moon, sky, birds of the air and the fish in the sea. On the seventh day He rests. So created in the image of this worker God we have been wired to work, gifted to work and given the capacity to produce wealth. Paul in the book of Colossians instructs slaves to find dignity in their daily work by working for the Lord rather than people. Our daily work can be an act of serving God, and a means of providing for ourselves and our families. Today, give thanks to God for the gifts and abilities you have.  If you have the privilege of having a job, give thanks to God for this gift and pray for those who long for meaningful work. If you have no job, receive today the prayers of all those who share in this reading today. May your faith be stirred and your courage fueled by the love and prayers of others. May there be visible signs of God at work in your life.
