How To Survive THRIVE - Financially

Day 4: Tithe

The power of the tithe, which means a tenth, is that it triggers trust.

When we carve out the first tenth of all we earn, it provides space for God to remind us of all the ways in which He is our source. When we bring the first tenth; not the last, not what's left over, we transfer trust from ourselves to God - our unlimited source. The tithe liberates us, establishes God as the one that we serve and establishes God as the source of our success. A tenth of all we earn may sound like a lot, but what is much more is the ninety percent we get to keep, steward and enjoy. Whatever you may think or practice with regards to the tithe, where does your trust lie? In your capacity or God’s capacity? Consider tithing for the next three months, bringing a tenth of all you earn to the church you are connected to, trusting in God to be your source. My experience is that God is trustworthy!!!
