Jesus Culture - Faith For Your CitySample
City Renewal
Impact:
Jesus used this passage from Isaiah when He began His public ministry (Luke 4:18) and began His Kingdom work. As Christians, filled with the Holy Spirit, we are called and empowered to continue Jesus’ work by expanding His Kingdom throughout the world. God has anointed and qualified you to bring healing and the Good News to the brokenhearted. God wants you to see beauty in your city instead of ashes. You are called to release freedom and worship into your city and set people free from a heavy-burdened spirit. Just as God commanded the Israelites, we are to “rebuild cities that have long been in ruins.” (Isaiah 61:4) You have been commissioned by God to partner with Him and discover the ways He wants to rebuild your city and bring hope to those who need it.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me discover how I can rebuild and bless my city. I choose to see the beauty in my city instead of ashes. I choose to release joy and hope into my city instead of mourning and heaviness.

About this Plan
Building on the momentum from this year’s Jesus Culture Encounter conference, we are inviting you into twenty-one days of devotion to strengthen your vision for your campus and your city. We developed this reading plan, in partnership with American Bible Society, specifically for that purpose. God wants cities and nations to be saturated in His presence and we invite you to join us as we encounter what the Bible has to say about city transformation.
