Day 5: Church — Rooted in Faith, Growing in Purpose
📖 “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” Amos 3:3 (NKJV)
Spiritual intimacy is one of the most overlooked, yet essential, aspects of a thriving marriage. While many couples focus on emotional and physical connection, the strength of a relationship is deeply tied to its spiritual alignment.
Walking in agreement spiritually doesn’t mean being identical in your expressions of faith. It means being united in your commitment to Christ. When you both pursue God individually and together, your marriage becomes more than a union; it becomes a testimony.
Going to church, praying together, serving together, and sharing spiritual goals should not be religious routines, but relational rhythms that draw you closer to God and one another. They help you anchor your relationship in something greater than moods or milestones: God’s mission.
Even when faith journeys differ, couples can take small steps toward unity by praying together daily or discussing Sunday’s message, completing a devotional together or setting shared spiritual goals for their home. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s alignment and agreement to grow together.
🛐 Prayer
Lord, thank You for being the foundation of our marriage. Help us grow spiritually together and individually. Align our hearts with Your will and draw us closer to You and to each other. Let our marriage bring You glory and reflect Your love to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
💭 Reflection Question
How can you take one step closer toward spiritual unity in your relationship this week?
