The disciples had spent just over three years with Jesus. After He died and rose again, they were able to spend another 40 days with Jesus. Before Jesus ascended to heaven they were gathered with Him on Mount of Olives. Until now, they could follow Jesus in person, see Him and talk with Him. Soon, Jesus would leave them, but before He did, He left them with some final instructions; a mission that they would dedicate the rest of their lives to.

Our mission is to tell others about Jesus. Who do we tell? The good news is for the whole world, that means EVERYONE.

The disciples took their mission seriously, they travelled by foot and sailed across the seas to take the good news to all creation. Today, missionaries take the gospel to faraway lands, worship songs reach far and wide, the Bible has been translated into hundreds of different languages and preachers can reach the globe through radio, TV, and the internet. We can share the gospel too, we can take the gospel to all creation in our own neighbourhoods, schools, sports teams and to the world.
