On MissionSample
Sunflowers are large and beautiful; with a black centre and bright yellow petals they look a bit like the sun. You may have seen them in a garden or with a bunch of flowers in a vase. But did you know that each of these flowers has around 1,000 seeds? Imagine each sunflower being able to spread its seeds and create 1,000 new plants.
We’re called to be like sunflowers. We grow in Christ and spread the good news about Jesus to others, so that the seed can be planted and grow in their lives. We can live our lives ‘On Mission’ to tell others about Jesus.
It’s awesome to tell people about Jesus. When you have an opportunity to talk with someone about why you go to church, who Jesus is and what He’s done in your life, they might be really interested and want to know more. They may even say that they’re ready to accept Jesus as their Saviour too. If this doesn’t happen, it’s ok. You may just be planting a seed or watering a seed. A seed in the ground doesn’t sprout into a plant the moment after you’ve planted it, it takes watering and time to grow. So don’t give up, keep planting and keep watering.
God wants us to live our life ‘On Mission’ to spread the Good News of Jesus.

About this Plan
Before Jesus went to heaven He gave His disciples a mission to tell others about Him. We have that same mission today, to share the good news about Jesus. This 15-Day plan explores the Great Commission, our mission to tell others about Jesus, how the Holy Spirit empowers us for this mission, and how we can live our lives ‘On Mission’ for Jesus!
