We are learning all about living our lives ‘On Mission’. Jesus gives us all a mission - to tell others about Him. Our lives can bring God’s light into the darkness. When we share the good news about Jesus, we are shining His light.

But how does a light work? Whether it’s a lamp plugged into a power outlet or a flashlight with batteries, a light needs a power source. We need Jesus to give us power, to give us strength, to let our light shine.

The Holy Spirit is that power, Jesus with us empowering us for the mission. We may not hear a rushing wind or see fire above someone’s head, but we can feel the Holy Spirit with us. We may sense His presence, feel His power, hear His voice or feel it in our heart. We may even begin to speak in other languages just like the Bible talks about. All we need to do is ask, we can pray and invite the Holy Spirit to speak to us and be with us.
