Everyone wants to be relevant. However, that word can hold so many different meanings. For some, being relevant means being “cool.” You know all the latest trends, dress in the latest fashions, and know all the new lingo. For others, being relevant means reminding others that you have value. You have amazing knowledge to bring to the table, and that knowledge should be recognized. But for the next generation, someone can be relevant simply by having some sort of impact. The good news is, we can be those people. We can pass along the amazing knowledge of faith and trust in God to young people who are crying out for just this. We can make an impact. God doesn’t want us to keep all our gifts, lessons, and encouragement to ourselves. Instead, we can declare God’s good works to the generation behind us, using our influence to make an impact on their lives and their faith.
Who is a young person in your life that you can support and encourage? Commit to spending time with them, not only passing along what you know but also listening to their stories as well. Pray that God will use your influence to make an impact.

About this Plan
An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
