DAY 26 OF 30

As Christians, we know that we are called to a life of doing good for others. When we see a person in need, we want to find ways that we can help. If someone is having a bad day, we want to do something nice to help turn it around. When we see the next generation starting to lose faith, we want to step in and remind them of all the amazing things that God has done. All of these things take effort on our part. And even though we may do things with the best of intentions, others may not appreciate what we’re trying to do. When this happens, it can be easy to want to do less. Maybe someone else will cheer up your friend instead of you. Maybe someone else will be by to pick up the slack and help the people in need in your community. Or maybe the next generation can just figure it out for themselves. Well, when we find ourselves getting tired, we can turn to God to help remind us of our end goal. God has called us to help build up His kingdom, but he doesn’t ask us to do it alone. Instead, He wants to walk alongside us when we’re weary. He wants to be our strength as we continue to do good.

Take some time today to pray and ask God to give you strength when doing good starts to feel a little too hard.

About this Plan

Influencers

An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
