In 2020, Hafthor Bjornsson set the world deadlift record by being able to lift 1,104 pounds. That’s quite a feat! 1,000 pounds is the equivalent of about four full-size refrigerators, an average-size horse, or about 4,000 burgers from McDonald's. That’s a lot of weight, right? You’d have to be pretty strong to hold that up. When it comes to strength, many of us think it’s something that we have to gain on our own. We decide how strong we can be right? Well, no matter how strong we think we can be or how many weights we lift in order to build our muscles, we can still never be nearly as strong as God. Isn’t it a relief that God doesn’t want us to be strong on our own? He wants us to depend on Him. He wants us to use His strength so that we can accomplish more than we ever thought possible. He takes what little we can do on our own and multiplies it far beyond what we could imagine. All He asks is that we lean on Him—that we choose His strength over our own.
Today, spend some time in prayer, asking God to come alongside you and strengthen you for the calling He has placed on your life. Pray that your influence would be strong as you walk forward leaning on the Lord.

About this Plan
An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
