GROWING TOGETHER IN FAITH

2 TIMOTHY 2:2

Someone who recently received Jesus or who has done it years ago, but never grew in a relationship with God, is spiritually as vulnerable as a baby. If you are willing, God can use you to help such a person to start a living relationship with God, eventually walking close with Him.

You can do this one-on-one or in a group:

One-on-one

• Make sure the person has sincerely accepted Christ by going through the guidelines in DAY 20. 
• Agree when to meet—at least once a week. 
• Pray on a daily basis that God will help this person to: 

1. see God for who He is,
2. know and understand Him,
3. understand the Bible,
4. follow God wholeheartedly,
5. live in victory and freedom,
6. and grow into a close relationship with God.

• Make sure the person has a Bible.
• Get a Word-based discipleship book for each of you.
• Work through the portion you will discuss next (each on their own) before you meet. 
• Go through it together. Read Bible scriptures out loud. Answer questions with Bible verses—even if you need a few days to find it. 
• Pray for each other, asking God to help you make what you have learned part of your life. 
• Share any testimonies relevant to what you have learned.
• Ask if there are any personal prayer requests and pray for each other.

Anyone doing the above while sincerely seeking the Lord will become spiritually strong and stable. He or she will also experience an increase of joy, peace, freedom, and victory.

In a group

Maybe you are part of a group of friends who would like to take on this journey of getting close to God together, discovering the love and fullness of God.

You can follow the same guidelines as listed above for one-on-one sessions. It will be wise to continually pray for unity and love within the group.

THE BLESSING OF SHARING

Your life will be greatly enriched by walking with others on their journey with God, also building your faith as you see Him working with people. It is so inspiring to see how God builds people up by revealing His love, giving stability, peace and joy to live through His Word and Spirit.
