God’s plans versus the devil’s plans
God has a regret-free life in mind for you. Jeremiah 29:11 The devil wants to deceive you (DAY 12) to do things you will regret. John 10:10
Why are you tempted?
It’s not your fault when satan tempts you. James 1:13-15 God has nothing to do with it either. Whether you resist the temptation or give in to it, is a choice you have to make. It is important to obey when you sense the Holy Spirit saying, “Don’t go there.”
You will always have enough strength through God’s Spirit in you to walk away. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Tell God you want to be obedient and firmly decide against doing what is wrong. James 4:7
YOUR TURN
Regrets
Go through the list below to get you started on writing down your regrets:
- having bad or inappropriate relationships
- doing drugs
- getting drunk
- bullying on social media/at school
- engaging in sexual immorality
- making bad decisions
- looking at bad things on the Internet
- allowing laziness to cause missed opportunities
Write down any other regrets you have. Now, give it to God.
Let’s pray:
Lord, I confess all my sins and stupid decisions {name them from the list} that I made. Help me to put my past behind me. Thank You for Your forgiveness. Please help me to live the rest of my life without regrets—in Jesus’s name, amen.
Move on
God forgave you and will not remind you again. Hebrews 8:12 Now it’s your turn to put it behind you as well. Philippians 3:13-14
Live on without regrets
Walk closely with God to have a regret-free life by deciding with your whole heart to:
Obey and love God.
Deuteronomy 10:12
Consult God when you have to make important life decisions.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Choose your company well. This includes friends, people you meet where you hang out, those you watch on TV, movies, Internet, etc.
1 Corinthians 15:33

Lord, I have made a solid decision. I don’t want any more regrets in my life. Help me to do my part. Guide and protect me so I can live a regret-free life going forward—in Jesus’s Name, amen.
