Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Abundant Joy"Sample

Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Abundant Joy"

DAY 3 OF 28

There are times in our lives when suddenly trouble attacks from every direction. It weighs us down, even when we feel that we are not at fault. We lose someone dear to us, all of a sudden. We lose hope. We even lose ourselves. It seems like the life we are living is working against us. Just when we are doing things right, bad things happen to us.

In those moments we come to understand life. When we succeed in overcoming what is bombarding our lives and while maintaining a strong relationship with Christ. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows when we walk with God. Being with God opens our eyes to realize that there is Someone greater than any of our problems.

Now, this verse makes sense. When others view trials and tribulations as tragedy, we see them as pure joy. Because it is the time when we get to see the evidence of the greatness of God and the magnitude of His love for us.

James 1:12 (NIV) continues to say, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” There’s a crown of life that God has prepared behind every trial, are you ready to receive it?

Devotion for Parents
When bad things happen, it does not always mean that we have made a mistake. There are times when God allows us to experience those events to show His power.

Are you blaming yourself for what’s happening? Remember that this might be God’s way of bringing your focus back to Him and getting you to trust Him.

Devotion for Kids
It is necessary to talk about our problems. Don’t bury them, but talk about them with your parents so that you can find the solution together. Despite the source of the problem, remember that you have God and your parents who will help you overcome those problems.

Family Devotion Time
Today, invite your family to share about their problems that may be hidden deep inside their hearts.

Learn to be open and to support each other in prayer.

Remember that God works in all things and He will never leave us.
