Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsSample

Wait
Some waiting can be fun and exciting: like waiting to open a gift someone got you, waiting for cookies to come out the oven, waiting for the next show or book of your favourite series to be released! Make a list of a few more things that are fun to wait for.
Some waiting can be really difficult: like waiting to find out if you passed a hard exam, waiting on a doctor's diagnosis, or waiting to find out if your friend is still upset with you. Make a list of things that have been difficult for you to wait for.
Read Psalm 130:5 again: “I wait patiently for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His Word do I hope.” We aren't meant to wait and do nothing. Scripture actually tells us what will give us hope while we wait. Verse 5 tells us that we can go to God's Word for hope while we wait. God will wait with us and encourage us through Scripture if we will turn to it.
GO DEEP: What is an area of your life where you are being forced to wait? Do you tend to wait alone or invite others into your waiting? Find a verse in God's Word that will give you hope as you wait. Write it down somewhere so you can find it the next time you need hope or encouragement.
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
