For the OneSample

Have you ever heard someone say, "actions speak louder than words?" This phrase is true about most things in life, and it's especially true about our faith. If we claim to follow Jesus and trust him with our lives, but we don't change anything about the way we live, our words really have no merit. The way to prove what we believe is by the way we act. When we love those around us, take care of those in need, and stand up for what's right, we're proving that what we say we believe is actually true. So, if people looked at your actions, what would they think about your beliefs? Hopefully, they will see actions that align with your words. Today, start proving your faith with your actions.

Challenge: Make a list of things that you believe, then write down a tangible action step you could take as a result of each belief. For example, if you believe that God loves you, you could take action to love someone else or share God's love with that person. Think of ways to prove your faith with your actions.

Going Deeper: Take a tangible step to fill someone's need around you. Donate your time, money, or extra resources you may have to a non-profit, shelter, or someone that you know is in need.
