The Church

This week we meditate on the capital C church which is the body of Christ. Every one of us must find our place in this body to fulfill our role in the big picture of God. Christ is the head of His church, and He desires each of us to discover the power and potential that comes from this community.

Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.

Matthew 18:20 NLT

For where two or three gather together as my followers,[a] I am there among them.”

1 Corinthians 3:7-8 NLT

It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.

James 5:14-17 ESV

14 Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. 16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
