Through the Bible: IsaiahSample
Rooted To Flourish in Life
The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58: 11 (NIV)
My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,
Isaiah 59:21 (NIV)
My late father-in-law loved gardening, spending time to patiently water, nourish, weed and prune the trees and plants. Each time I visited him, there would be fresh fruits on the table or greens from the garden. There was even one year when over 200 mangoes were harvested from a single mango tree, blessing many neighbours and friends around him. Similarly, his life was a testimony of God's love, growing and being rooted in Christ through the seasons of life, bringing many to savour His grace and love. God assures us through His word in Isaiah that He is the source of true Life. He is our Jehovah El-Shaddai. As we position our lives to draw from the True source of Living waters, to grow deeper roots in Him, His Words will be the Banner over our lives, allowing the Divine Gardener to tend to us, even to prune when needed. We shall enjoy and reap His overflowing grace and fruitfulness in all we endeavour to do. The impact will not be only in our lives but multiplied, by extension of blessing beyond our borders, for generations to come.
Prayer
Loving Father, may we grow deeper roots in You that our lives may flourish to be a Kingdom blessing in all we do. In Jesus’ name. Amen
About this Plan
The book of Isaiah, which contains 66 chapters, is called “the Bible in miniature.” The first 39 chapters summarise the Old Testament which addresses the judgement of sins and the hope in God. The other 27 chapters foreshadow the New Testament which addresses the Gospel of Jesus and how God’s people will inherit His kingdom victoriously. If you want to have a Bible overview, this is the to-go book.
