Through the Bible: IsaiahSample
Who Will Bring Charges Against Me?
He who vindicates me is near. Who then will bring charges against me? Let us face each other! Who is my accuser? Let him confront me! It is the Sovereign LORD who helps me.
Who will condemn me? They will all wear out like a garment; the moths will eat them up.
Isaiah 50:8-9 (ESV)
We can be convinced that Jesus is our true Saviour when prophecies made by different prophets were fulfilled hundreds of years later.
Isaiah is one of the most quoted OT books in the New Testament. The name Isaiah means “the Lord saves”. How beautiful, are the feet of Isaiah who reveal the good news of God’s salvation plan.
Isaiah’s word “Depart, depart, go out from there and touch no unclean things” convicts us to carefully live a kingdom life that is in the world but not of the world.
True Salvation produces a change in our lives – a life of righteousness. Righteousness will lead to life. Unrighteousness will lead to death.
Prayer
Abba Father, thank You that You sustain us through your Word. Morning by morning we find comfort, strength and encouragement through personal time with You. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. If You are for us, who can be against us! Nothing can separate us from You and Your love. Hallelujah to our eternal victory! In Jesus’ most precious name, Amen.
About this Plan
The book of Isaiah, which contains 66 chapters, is called “the Bible in miniature.” The first 39 chapters summarise the Old Testament which addresses the judgement of sins and the hope in God. The other 27 chapters foreshadow the New Testament which addresses the Gospel of Jesus and how God’s people will inherit His kingdom victoriously. If you want to have a Bible overview, this is the to-go book.
