Threesomes and Porn

“But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.” ~

Connected and committed is the way God intended you to share your life, and also your marriage bed. It’s so important to understand that Genesis 2:24 is the foundational rock upon which marriage is based.

The model of 2 becoming 1 is not just a spiritual reference, but is a physical requirement as well. There is no justification for including anyone else in the process of the two of you coming together sexually.

The process of building your marriage into a bulletproof team does not allow for including others in your married sex life. Whether it’s another person or pornography, it violates the core of God’s Word in Genesis.

Mental and emotional adultery is just as destructive as the flesh. When you go outside of the attraction your spouse brings, it’s an offense to the gift that God created just for you.

When you break the rule, then you separate yourself from grace and begin to operate on your own. Yes, even operate apart from your spouse. While you might think they don’t even know about your violations, trust us, when you peel the tape from the paper it’s impossible to function independently and without harm to each side.

Once you come together as husband and wife, there is no going back to operating independently without consequences.

CALL TO ACTION:

Pornography is so pervasive in our culture that it’s hard to imagine a married couple that hasn’t had to deal with some aspect of it. 

Porn isn’t harmless or healthy for your sex life. If one or both of you are having an issue with pornography, have an honest conversation about why it’s needed or desired. 

Talk about the negative ways it affects one or both of you and make a commitment to keep the marriage bed safe from outside forces.
