Wise ChoicesSample
Have you ever said something that you wish you could take back or maybe even said something that you shouldn’t have? It can be so easy to do. We can also find ourselves saying words or phrases that we know we shouldn’t and before we know it we can string up a list of regrets. We can even become so familiar with saying things we shouldn’t that it becomes part of our normal everyday life. We can also find ourselves changing how we talk based on the people we are with by simply being careful with what we say when.
The problem with doing this is that we can come across as fake and people will even start to have trouble seeing Jesus in you. When this happens, we need to stop and start asking God to change our hearts and not just our words. Jesus wants our whole hearts and when we give him our whole hearts we will start to say things that come from him and not from anyone else.
Challenge: Today we want to challenge you to identify some times when your words weren’t filled with kindness or love. These words should also include things you have said or even things you have posted. Take some time to talk to God about them and ask God to forgive you for saying them. If your words hurt someone else then we also challenge you to ask that person for forgiveness as well. Then ask God to not just change your words but to also change your heart. Ask God to help your words lift others up and show others Jesus.
