Wise ChoicesSample

Have you ever had a friend post about getting something that you really wanted and instead of getting excited for him you instantly start to get jealous? Or maybe you go to a friend’s house and they have a really nice house with a pool and again you find yourself instantly jealous of your friend? Jealousy can hit us quickly and in lots of different ways. It causes us to be unhappy with the blessings God has given us in our own lives. We can see what our friends have instead of seeing what we have. We can get so focused on stuff that we lose sight of what God has provided in our own lives. Today we want you to take some time to thank God for the blessings in your life. Write down a list of the things that you are grateful for. Then put the list somewhere in your room to remind you that you can have peace through gratitude, not through jealousy.
Challenge: After taking some time to write your list, take some time to ask God to show you if jealousy has hurt any of the relationships in your life. If so, then go and make amends with that person. Next, take some time to praise God for all that he has done for you and tell him how much you love him.
