Typically the world tells you that if someone is mean to you then you can be mean to them right back, but this verse challenges us to think differently.  What would it look like if you treated your enemies with kindness instead?  Now I know that you are thinking that it would be impossible to be kind to that person and you may even be thinking that this person doesn’t deserve your kindness.  I understand that this person could have hurt you badly but God still wants us to respond with kindness.  God loves that person just as much as he loves you and God made that person in his image.  I also know that this is not easy but the good news is that God says he will reward you for doing so.

 Challenge: Today we challenge you to identify one person you can show kindness to, even when this person has hurt you.  Remember you aren’t alone and God will help you live out his love, even to your enemy.  Take time to ask God to give you the strength and courage to live this out this week.
