Having good friends is such an important part of life.  We all want to have good friends who support us, no matter what we are going through.  Sometimes it can be easy to know what makes a good friend and sometimes that can be hard to figure out.  If you could design the perfect loyal friend, what would that person look like?  What qualities would be important to have in that friendship?  Now take some time and think about some of your friendships.  Do all of them meet the description you had of a loyal friend or are there some people in your life who simply aren’t the type of friend you should have?  

 Challenge: Today we challenge you to be honest with yourself and truly evaluate some of your friendships.  Are there some friends who you need to have a chat with and talk about how they are treating you?  Maybe you have to make the tough choice of distancing yourself from a friend or maybe it is even someone you are dating and God is calling you to change your relationship with that person.  We also challenge you to take a hard look at the type of friend you are to others.  Maybe God is calling you to change the type of friend you are and to be a loyal friend to the people in your life.  Take some time to talk to God about this and ask him for his wisdom.
