Jesus is not only Wonderful, but He is also wonderful in counsel. The Hebrew word for counselor means -advise well, consult, give counsel, guide.

The Lord knows that we need counsel. Those who follow Him will not walk in darkness, but in the light.

An African tour guide kept making a way through the thick grassland. With a machete in his hand, he kept cutting through the grass. When the worried tourist asked him, “ Do you even know the way?”, he replied, “ I am the way”.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “ I am the way, the truth and the life..”

Jesus is the way. Early believers called themselves followers of the Way. He is the beginning and He is the end, the author and the finisher of our faith. Like the tourist we are often confused and lost, but He leads us on, making the way, where there is none.

Matt 4:19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

When Peter accepted Jesus’ invitation to follow Him, Peter walked straight into his destiny. It is in following Jesus, that we will become all He wants us to be and fulfill the purpose of our existence. That’s why when many disciples left Jesus and went back, Peter still stayed.

John 6:67-68 The Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” But Simon Peter answered Him, “ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

Jesus can counsel you and lead you till the very end. Will you follow Him?

♥ Response: Lord, forgive me my self-reliance. I need Your counsel. Please help me to follow You and lead me into my destiny. In Jesus’ name.

Lord, search me and know my heart. Try me and know my anxieties and see if there is any wicked way in me. Lord, lead me in the way everlasting. Ps 139:23-24

Lord, You are my God forever and ever. You will be my guide even to death. Ps 48:14

Let’s pray:

Pray that God’s hand would be upon India and Jesus would be lifted high in our nation

Pray that the glorious gospel would reach every corner of India and people would come to know the love of Christ

Pray that signs, wonders and miracles would be done in the name of Jesus and people would know the Living God.
