God's Redemption Story (Genesis)Àpẹrẹ
Jacob did everything he could to pacify his brother and avoid the inevitable conflict—even offering a very expensive gift. We’ve all been there in some capacity, trying to figure out how to avoid the awkward confrontation that we brought on ourselves.
What Jacob didn’t see coming was the beautiful reunion he would have with his brother. He focused so much energy on avoiding what could go wrong and fixing it himself that he never imagined forgiveness without the need for repayment.
We will experience pain and confrontation in our lives, sometimes caused by our own choices and mistakes. Like Jacob, we may sit in fear of what we can’t control. But our God can take even the hardest situations, the most painful moments of our lives, and turn them for good. Even in our fear, we can trust God to have a plan and purpose greater than our own.
