Walk Through The Bible 365 - JanuaryÀpẹrẹ
Swords And Words
Swords can draw blood and kill. So it is with words. We must therefore guard against using sharp and cutting words. For those words will boomerang back to us with their deadly consequences, just as Jesus warned us "'Put your sword back in its place,' Jesus said to him, 'for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.'" - Matthew 26: 52 (NLT)
Prayer: Lord, put a guard on my mouth. Also, examine my heart to see if I need to root out any unwholesome thoughts. Forgive me when I hurt others and myself with cutting and slashing words. Help me Lord to speak in gentleness and in love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
