Key Beliefs: Supporting Basic BeliefsÀpẹrẹ
Church
Paul continues the topic of unity and calls for it within the church. Humility and gentleness are required because the differences between people are real and can be difficult. Paul knows the Gentiles used to live in shameful ways, but they could all move forward together by following Jesus.
Getting along with others can be hard. It’s worse when someone comes from a background very different than our own. It causes traditions, interpretations of the Bible, and worship styles to vary greatly. The answer isn’t in insisting everyone do what you want or not talking to each other; it’s being humble and gracious.
