Key Beliefs: Supporting Basic BeliefsÀpẹrẹ
Church
All of 1st Timothy contains instructions to a pastor for how things should be done in the church, and this chapter gives the qualifications for leadership. It’s not the things we might typically think of like strong communication skills, intelligence, or decision-making abilities, but a history of living life the right way. Those other things are important for leadership too, but if good character is missing, the other qualities don’t matter.
You may not be a leader in a church, but are these qualities present in you? Not being a church leader isn’t an excuse for not being who God has called all of us to be.
