Dusk,
Trying to hide me;

Shadows find me.
Darkness disperses,
I cannot escape,
But dawn
Is on
The way.
O Light, come quickly;
Reach into the depths of me.
Darkness says
It will vacate You.
You say
It’s making room
For You.
Night, trying to
Beat me
Reduce me
Kill me.
Light, coming to
Wake me
Save me
Clean me.
I cling
To Light.
I survive
The night.
