Extended Memorization Of Scripture: 2 PeterSample
Scripture memorization is a powerful fulfillment of these words from Peter. Peter wanted to constantly “remind” us and to make sure that we would also be able to “remember” these things.
Since memory of the word of God was so vital to Peter’s preaching ministry, so it is incredibly powerful for us as well. By committing God's word to memory. we can be constantly transformed by it as a direct fulfillment of Peter’s desires.
Recite yesterday’s verse, 2 Peter 1:14, ten times, being sure to include the verse number. Again, you should look at the screen if you need to refresh your memory. Old verses next, altogether: Recite 2 Peter 1:1-14 together once, being sure to include the verse numbers.
Now, recite your new verse. Read 2 Peter 1:15 out loud ten times, looking at each word as if photographing it with your eyes. Be sure to include the verse number. Then cover the screen and recite the verse ten times.
