True Friend 

During my college days, I had many friends around me who led me astray in a sinful lifestyle. I was always surrounded by friends; they never left my side. But, after the Lord touched me, they started leaving me one after the other. I was left all alone. It was at this juncture that the Holy Spirit clearly spoke to me saying, “Paul, I shall be your only true friend; there won’t be any more friends for you and henceforth you will never waste your time with friends of this world.” It happened likewise. I started going to the chapel in the college during lunch intervals. I used to spend the whole of 25 minutes in prayer. I too told Jesus that I never wanted anyone in this world but only Him as my friend. My friends, saw this and yet I was not embarrassed since I had become bold enough to do anything out of my love for the Lord Jesus Christ. God began to bless me in my life and career. Jesus is your true friend. I never have once regretted my decision to accept Him as my only friend. Till today I am happy about the decision I made. He provides His protection, counsel, guidance and blessings all through my life. He will do the same for you. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I commit myself today to accept Jesus as my true friend. Give me the grace to commune with You and not waste my time in chatting with my worldly friends. I pray that Jesus be my helper and guide me in every walk of my life, Amen.”
