Good Roots 

Sometime ago, I read in the newspaper that an Indian was awarded the highest MD degree in Medicine in the USA at a very young age of 17 years. It was a record breaking event. When he came to India, everybody honoured him and all the newspapers carried news articles praising him. Years later, the very same newspapers carried news about him all over India. The same young man was arrested because he had hit his sister-in-law demanding more dowry. This great person who was praised by one and all became a victim of criticism. 

This is what lusting after money can do to a person. Love of money is a form of evil, and it is born of an excess desire for it. My friend, money is needed in this world to survive. But, money is not everything for you. The lust for money destroys a person forever. It inculcates greediness in you and takes you through many sorrows. So, my friend, let the Holy Spirit help you control your finances. 

Prayer

“Loving Lord, I surrender myself today at Your feet. Let Your Holy Spirit take complete control over my finances. Let me not indulge in the lust of money or lust of the world. Protect me under Your wings In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
